30 Blocks Completed Now!

Here's my morning block today. Came out fine, just had to reposition the bottom row a tad, but not it looks as it should. This makes 30, so I am almost one quarter of the way there, yeah! Even had some fabric with little doves in it for this one, how cool is that! This one is done in purples, but the photo looks more blues, not sure why? Oh well, looks good no matter the color, right!

Been having fun, quilting away, & making all these pretty, & somewhat fascinating blocks! Trying new techniques I haven't tried before! So it is also a learning experience & broadening my quilting horizons, one might say. This one is the Dresden Plate. Not bad for a first try! Alot of work, like the last one, but not hard work!

Two new blocks!

This makes 12 now! A simple Nine Patch, that I hand pieced! This is new to me, pretty much, but am happy with the result!

The other is Bachelor's Puzzle. Didn't like how they did this one in the book, then someone posted a 3D version, & I loved it! So here is my 3D version!

10 Blocks, so far!

Seems I am already losing count of the numbers! I have 10 pics & two more ready to take pics of, so I already have my first dozen, yeah! There are 140 blocks in the book, but a few I don't care for, & others I might add, so, who knows what we all end up with! Fun project anyway, & why not share it on my blog! Hope you all enjoy seeing them here, as I progress in the quilting journey...

Four more blocks to post, then I have will have the first 9 here. Start at the bottom of the previous post & work your way up, if you want to see them in order. This finish as 6.5in blocks, & 6in once in a quilt. Nice size, & I am having fun doing them, & learning some new quilting techniques along the way!

Started a new, sort of, group project last month, so was thinking, I should post it on my blog! It's from the book "Sylvia's Bridal Sampler" by Jennifer Chiaverini, & I am doing with a group on the Connecting Threads forum. I have 11 blocks done so far, with pics of 9, so far, so here goes!
